Response to Intervention (RTI) in Parkdale School is a plan that is devised by the school Administration, Learning Support Teachers and Classroom Teachers. The plan is to support student learning by meeting students' needs. In order for us to meet students where they are at, we must determine their starting point. The staff has completed baseline assessments for all students in the school. The collection of this data has enabled us to implement our plan.
Our Learning Support Teachers are working in Sprints with students needing support. The Sprints are a designated period of time that students will get extra support on a specific targetted skill. Students will work in small groups that have similar needs. We are excited about the support that we are able to offer our students in supporting their academic growth.
